As you look at the highway, you will be able to see a variety of vehicles. Some are small others are big. In every automobile that you see running on the road, the big ones like the trucks are very important. Despite the fact that some of their variety is expensive, people still buy them because they help a lot in doing business (especially in manufacturing).
Trucks come in all sizes as well. However, they are usually bigger than the mainstream cars. Most of the trucks are used for transporting goods from one location to another. These vehicles are termed as medium duty truck. Popular ones that we see are used for logging; others for moving furniture, some are even used for collecting trash. Other vehicles are commonly used for construction, such as cement mixers and they are used to transport materials for buildings.
However, these vehicles come with a special purpose. If we want to use them for as our daily mode of transportation, you can go for SUVs truck or pick-ups. You can use these great vehicles for city driving. They are modifiable too. Most people add truck lift kits on them to make them bigger or to have a better suspension.
Service Utility truck may look like minivan and they may not have the looks of a pick-up, but they are perfect for your passengers as they can really be comfortable for traveling. They are spacious and sometimes they are even high-tech. Most of them are four-wheel drive and despite the disadvantages that they are pointing out to this type of feature, it is commonly equipped with safety features. Nowadays, emergency features and ABS (Anti-lock braking system) have been adapted. Some are just what they call part-time meaning they do not have to be engaged at all times in a four-wheel drive. However, most of them are comfortable if you plan to have long hours of driving.
Pick-ups are also light versions of this vehicle. The rear end is open, so either it can be used as an added space to accommodate more passengers or it can be used as your cargo area. As your passengers take a ride at the back of this vehicle, they will have the same feeling that they get when riding on a top down, convertible.
Some use this for off-road adventure. However to use them in this kind of leisure, certain modifications are needed. The most important accessory that should be added is truck lift kits for suspension. These are composed of springs and shocks to improve clearance of the vehicle as they go past the uneven surfaces of the road. If you plan to have this kind of adventure, then you should consider taking this modification.
These lighter versions can be used for transportation too. If you are running a small business, they can also be used to carry goods but not as much as cargo forwarders can carry. Nevertheless, they can really be a great help to your business and they can be perfect for your passengers too.

Trucks for sale have two ways of being customized. One way is for the looks; the other is for the performance. There are different types of trucks like oshkosh truck, ottawa truck, hino truck, international truck etc. which have different truck accessories for these kinds of upgrades.
Truck owners and enthusiasts have been known to modify their vehicles to get what they want for their driving experience. There are two paths to upgrading and personalizing their trucks. One path is to improve the look and features of the body and the interior, making changes to personalize the appearance of the truck. The other path to take is to improve the power and performance of the truck, to get the most out of the engine. Whatever choice of improvement is made, the way to get the modification wanted for the owner’s truck is through the use of truck accessories.
When it comes to improving the look and features of the truck, one normally starts with the exterior. One major upgrade to the truck’s looks is to change up or add a tonneau or bed cover. There are three types of cover for your truck’s bed. There is the cloth or vinyl type of cover, which is just tied to the bed’s sides with a rope that is sewn into the edges of the tonneau and strapped to clips or snaps along the bed’s body. Next is the roll-up type, which is a plastic or fabric cover rolled into a container near the cab and stretched out over and secured to the end of the bed. The last and most popular type of tonneau is the hard plastic or fiberglass kind.
The other accessories to upgrade the looks of the truck are grill guards, which protect the front end of the truck. Nerf bars, which run alongside and under the truck’s body, thus serving as a small step between the doors of the cab and the ground and also serves as protection from rocks underneath which the truck may pass. Running boards, which are small boards that run under and alongside the cab. These serve as a step where additional passengers may stand on while the truck is running. These accessories plus roof racks, toolboxes, winches among other things are the accessories needed to upgrade the look of one’s truck.
To upgrade the performance of trucks, on the other hand, needs a different set of accessories. To begin, custom mufflers and pipes to increase the horsepower of the engine is a good way to start. Then performance chips and programmers is a good upgrade to tell your engine’s computer that you need more power. This is because the chip will be able to modify your engine to provide better performance be it with more power, cleaner emissions or lower fuel consumption.
With customizing your truck, there is really no limit to what you can choose to do. It depends on the life you lead and the needs you have from your vehicle. After all, you accessorize your truck to give it the features you want. Tweak the look, and tweak the performance.

Recent media attention on the number of highway fatalities caused by semi-trucks has many people asking whether our roads are indeed ’safe.’ A fully loaded truck, like the one that slammed into the back of another truck on California’s I-5 last month can do an intense amount of damage. In that particular accident, three people were killed and at least ten more injured when the truck entering the 550-foot underpass crashed into the truck in front, causing a massive pile-up and ultimately, an explosion.
This isn’t the first time the safety of sharing our roads with oversized semi-trailer trucks has been questioned. Trucking industry practices are continuously being reformed to address the number of fatalities these vehicles cause, including reducing the amount of time a truck driver is allowed to drive without a break, instituting new methods of driver payment that do not include “paid-by-the-mile” incentives, and adding more highway patrol officers designated to specifically crack down on truck drivers that don’t keep proper log books or break traffic laws. But is it enough?
So what can you do to protect yourself and your families?
The trucking industry isn’t going anywhere any time soon, and while we can hope that some of these measures begin to drastically reduce the number of highway deaths, now is the time to make sure you’re driving the safest vehicles you possibly can.
Even the safest vehicles may not be able to stand up to a collision with a semi, but there are certain vehicles that tend to fare better than others. First, SUVs and pickup trucks generally keep their occupants safer than passenger cars when in collisions. While other factors obviously dictate how well passengers will be protected in a crash, such as the type of crash, the rate of speed the vehicles were moving, and the passive safety features installed on the vehicles, SUVs and pickups tend to be heavier and therefore sustain less damage.
Other key factors to examine are the active and passive safety features of your vehicle. For example, while most SUVs offer dual stage airbags (the type that protect occupants from rear-end and head-on collisions by preventing contact with the dash and steering column), the Isuzu truck also sports head-curtain side-impact airbags that protect the body from injuries caused by rolling or side-impacts. Taking the time to compare the safety features of your vehicle to the available safety features in models offered by companies that are known for safety (like Isuzu truck and Volvo truck) will give an indication of deficits in your vehicles safety system.

As buyers have been disillusioned with higher gas prices, food cost worries and personal housing problems, some of the lenders with these excess inventories have also come up deferred payment programs, As an additional dealer/lender incentive, a down payment is required from the customer but the second payment may be deferred up to 75 days, for a selected inventory group, Check an example below:
Your have access to this great opportunity from a Dealer/Lender on their off lease and repos. Lessees can maximize their earning potential by deferring your first payment after funding for no less than 60 days. Gives the customers an opportunity for even more earning potential in the first months of their lease!
Here’s how it works:
- Lessees choose an asset from the list that is available from the dealer. - Complete all normal documentation for funding and submit it to the lender.
Program Benefits for All Lessees and Assets
Waived processing fee - $0 processing fee means only the first payment is required in advance . - Start-ups and challenged credit commonly approved on all equipment types. - All ages and types of companies are eligible for approvals on the inventory, including start-ups and proprietorships for over-the-road trucks and trailers and forestry equipment - First payment in advance only.
Take advantage of these specials today!
As you see from this example, these concessions could sway the buyer for making a consideration for this program. No payments up to 75 days can be a stimulus to a sagging sales force. Additionally, other lenders are giving away gas cards as well to entice the deals. First Payment Only programs, no payments for 75 days, 60 months to repay regardless of age, favorable buy out clauses, easier credit qualifications, prior bankruptcies waived, additional co-signors ok, and start up businesses welcome are just some of the changes the dealers must consider to get the buyers’ interest.
The type of items we are going to identify as potential deals for the customer are the following:
Dump trucks, flatbed trucks, grapple and landscape trucks, fuel and lube trucks, bucket and boom trucks, over the road and day cabs, water trucks, tow trucks, box vans and straight trucks, dry van and ravens trailers, end and bottom dump trailers, flatbed trailers, backhoes, bulldozers, crawler tractors, forestry equipment, excavators, forklifts, and other type loaders.
In conclusion, this is a buyers market for commercial trucks, trailers, and construction equipment. Check out all the deals in the market and make sure that you have a stable income base to assume whatever debt that you may occur.

A pickup truck is a vehicle that is commonly used for off-road adventures and usually once destination is reached the rest of the outdoor fun is continued by means of biking. Pickup trucks have a lot of space at the back that can accommodate lots of cargoes including a bike.
Maintaining order in the cargoes at the back of the pickup is very important especially when you have a bike that often when not tied down securely can damaged the other cargoes plus may smashed into the back window of your pickup. And of course too much tossing and smashing and banging will damaged your bike. One bike is bad enough just think if you have a couple of unsecured bikes at the back of your pickup. The mess and damaged will be multiplied.
Then there is the noise caused by the bike rattling around in the back of the truck which can be quite disturbing while you’re driving. And that’s not all grease and dirt can transfer easily from your bike to your other cargoes and just imagine the mess that you will have to clean up afterwards.
What can you do about it?
To prevent such unsightly incident from happening as a pickup truck owner you would have to invest on a bike rack to keep your bike on hold. Bike racks or bicycle racks are devices in which bicycles may be securely attached to an automobile such pickups or bus for transporting bicycles. A truck bed bike rack is a bicycle rack that is especially designed for pickup trucks.
In case you have a trailer hitch at the back of your truck for sale or SUV then all you would need is to get a receiver bike rack also known as a hitch bike rack. And by the way the receiver is the term for the ball on which a trailer is placed.
Your first consideration when purchasing a bike rack should be the number of bikes you will be carrying. Bike racks comes in different sizes and shapes. The most common sizes are designed to carry as few as one bike and as many as four bikes. Try to consider the number of bikes you will need your bike rack to hold and also keep in mind the possibility of adding more bikes in the future. Likewise keep in mind that if one bike rack is not enough to hold all of your bikes, you may be able to equip your vehicle with two.
Your next consideration should be is where you want to attached your bike rack to your vehicle. As much as there are many ways of killing a cat so are there ways of attaching bike racks on your vehicle. Bikes racks may be mounted on the roof, mounted on a trailer hitch, or attached to the trunk or read door. Remember that where you decide to put your bike rack is very important to the result that you want to achieve.
Bike racks placed on the roof is great since it’s out of the way. You won’t have to worry with your bikes getting in line with your driving view or blocking the access to the trunk. The downside of a roof rack, however is that it makes retrieving and stowing a little harder.

Owners of old trucks would never deny permission for somebody to take a picture of their vehicle. Do you want to take a picture of my truck? Go ahead. Next time don’t even ask!
Let’s suppose somebody came up to you and asked for permission to take a picture of your classic truck to publish in a magazine or a website. Would you refuse? Of course not. You’re proud of your truck and you want the whole world to see it.
But there are people who don’t want to have their classic trucks photographed or filmed. They spend a lot of time fixing their trucks, they go to car shows to show off what they have and yet they refuse to have their trucks filmed or photographed. It doesn’t make sense and it’s not very smart either. Maybe they don’t need the money.
Now let’s suppose you had a chance of having your truck filmed for a TV commercial or, better yet, for a movie! How great would that be? Let’s also suppose that some TV producer decided to create a new series based on the 1940’s, 1950’s or 1960’s. Wouldn’t he(she) need a lot of cars from those eras? And if the series became a hit the vehicles would be used again and again.
Yeah. It it possible and it’s not even too hard. You just have to promote your vehicle in the right places. There are companies out there looking for vehicles exactly like yours. Many companies in fact. They look for classic trucks for sale and they buy them. They look for classic cars of all types and they pay rent to the car owners in order to film the cars. There are companies that go after owners of ottawa truck, GMC truck, hino truck, classic cars, old trucks and hot rods in order to list these vehicles in large databases. Advertising agencies put ads in the papers when they need an old car or pickup truck for a TV commercial. Keep your eyes open because your big chance may come from that direction.
A movie production company may need classic trucks just like yours. They might need your truck to spend, say, three days in Hollywood and a week on location in New York. They would make the arrangements to have the vehicle transported to both places and might even be willing to pay for your expenses to go along. You would see how a movie is made and you could even end up meeting a couple of famous movie stars just because you own an antique truck.
The producer of a movie or a TV commercial may be looking for a beautifully restored old car, one that looks like it came out of the showroom a couple of days ago. But directors want their films to look real. Therefore they may need a regular classic vehicle, one that shows it’s been used. And they might even need a real wreck, a rust bucket so to speak. Your chances are real, no matter what condition your truck is in. Don’t be ashamed of it. Go ahead and try.

Antique trucks since long have interested American inhabitants. It has become their favorite pastime. Collecting these trucks is not only a hobby but it is a passion for some. Special groups, clubs and museums have been created to showcase the collected automobiles.
Older trucks were used largely in agriculture. They belonged to the 20th century. The oldest and the most original truck was the Mack truck which was owned by John Mack. They were introduced during the 1800s and since then have seen their expansion to buses, dump trucks, semis and other 18 wheeler vehicles.
The popular brands include Chevy, Dodge, and Ford out of which the Dodge truck is a favorite one. The value and the cost of the truck depend upon its rarity and its present condition. The price ranges from anything few hundred dollars to several thousand dollars. Many museums and magazines have been designed to house these antique Dodge trucks.
The oldest Dodge truck model was the Dodge Model 30 which as built in the year 1914 by the dodge brothers company. It was a 4 cylinder truck with a body made entirely of steel. The features of this antique truck were 12 volt electrical system and sliding gear transmission. The other Dodge model was model T which had an antique planetary pattern but it was phased out of market very soon by the year 1927. During the years of introduction of the company only light duty trucks were manufactured but later during the 1930s and 1940s the medium and heavy duty trucks were also introduced.
Antique dodge trucks can be bought from auctions, trade shows, trade magazines or even web site biddings. An American truck Historical Society has been formed specially which deals with the buying and selling of antique trucks. They even have memberships and newsletters to keep the interested ones updated about antique dodge trucks. An antique truck museum can be found in almost all states of USA.
There are a number of antique dodge trucks to choose from. They include Dodge Model 30, Dodge Model T, Series 116 and many more. Even today some of these trucks are on display and even for sale. Interested people can participate in auctions and biddings to own one of the antique Dodge trucks. These trucks are extremely popular and are a symbol of prestige. Hence more and more people have opted for buying these antique Dodge trucks. Even though the Dodge trucks gained more popularity after the Second World War, even today there are many people who want to add these vintage automobiles to their collection.

Trucks are usually reliable, comfortable, easy to drive and maintain; their interior is often Spartan but purchasing a truck can be the best investment you ever made. A Toyota Tundra, double cab, for example, is easy to drive, comfortable and you can benefit from leather seats and a roomy interior, not always stylish. Trucks have often a business like interior, but it can carry five adults.
Chevy trucks for sale are really simple. Their enemy is the rust; you must not worry about it because there are parts available on the Internet or in specialized stores. Many Chevy trucks are really used or modified; if you want to buy a Chevy truck, it is wise to find a truck being sold by its first owner. It is not as difficult as it seems to be.
For people looking for a conventional truck for the week-ends or simply to go t their office, and not for cargo hauling the Chevy truck is the best choice. It is a massive American vehicle, reliable and comfortable. Suspension can be improved to make the Chevy truck smoother to drive. A Chevy truck delivers the power, the reliability and the comfort you need; it is also easy to load an unload it. Chevy trucks are recognized as the longest lasting and comfortable trucks. You can buy an old Chevy truck and restore it easily, searching on the Internet Chevy truck restoration parts; you will keep your old Chevy truck on the road and drive it smoothly.
Ford produces trucks from 1908. Fords trucks division become part of Daimler Chrysler and was re-branded as Sterling. Ford still produces light and medium trucks. Now Ford is out of heavy trucks production, but remains in the medium class production; its Ford Cargo, made in Brazil, is close to a heavier truck characteristics. The Ford F is a series of full size pick ups; the most popular is the F-150. It is the best selling vehicle in US for 23 years and the best selling truck for 29 years.
A dump truck is the vehicle used for transporting gravel, sand, and dirt for construction. Almost all dump trucks have a hydraulically operated open box bed hinged at a rear. Its front can be lifted to make possible the content deposit on the ground behind the truck. There are many dump trucks, depending on their specific tasks; a standard dump truck is a full truck chassis with a dump body mounted on the frame. The body is lifted by a hydraulic ram mounted between the truck traction unit and the semi trailer. The off-road dump truck is looking like heavy construction equipment than they do highway dump trucks. Off road dump truck are used only for heavy dirt hauling jobs.
Some specialized firms compare Toyota Tundra, Chevrolet Silverado, Ford F-150 and Nisan Titan in a head to head test; the results are recommending the Toyota Tundra as the Chevrolet Silverado as the best truck you can buy if you need a reliable, safe, comfortable and smooth riding truck.

Tractor-trailer truck accidents are among the most common truck accidents in the United States. According to statistics from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) Office of Crash Avoidance Research, there were 1.6 million truck tractors and 3.6 million trailers in use in the motor carrier industry in 1998.
Heavy trucks are considered those with a weight greater than 10,000 pounds. Heavy trucks are involveved in an array of traffic accidents, with this number ever increasing. They are also involved in rollovers accidents as well. Although rollover accidents are not as frequent, they can result in more damage to the vehicle and more injury to the driver.
Tractor-trailer trucks are involved in approximate average of 200,000 crashes annually, however, that number is quickly increasing, according to the NHTSA.
Attempts are being made to improve the technology used within the tractor-trailer truck industry and with the development of commercial vehicles. Due to unavoidable constraints among current combination-unit truck trailer electrical powering and communications systems, there is becoming an increase in mechanical failures causing truck crashes.
The NHTSA has also developed a 10-year study to better determine the trends of heavy duty truck, light duty truck, medium duty truck accidents. Accidents can also occur by other trucks like ford trucks, GMC truck, dump truck etc. According to the study, the increase of truck accidents is occurring, and while many more individuals involved in accidents are wearing seatbelts/restraints, the fatalities associated with heavy truck accident/tractor trailer truck accidents is increasing.
If involved in a tractor-trailer truck accident, it is imperative that, whether injuries are visible or not, an individual seek medical attention immediately. As some injuries may be internal, it is important to ensure all potential conditions are thoroughly reviewed by a physician. Additionally, it may be necessary for an individual to consult with a tractor-trailer truck accident attorney on the specifics of developing a truck accident lawsuit.
Often, medical bills as well as additional costs of missing work, school, etc., are associated with being involved in a tractor-trailer truck accident, which is why it may be necessary to develop truck accident litigation and pursue compensation for the injury incurred.

According to the study conducted by the Canadian Trucking Alliance-Natural Resources Canada, heavy duty trucks, longer trucks produce lesser harmful emissions and even help in improving highway safety.
Canadian Trucking Alliance-Natural Resources Canada has conducted a two-year study that involves ten trucking fleets from Western Canada and Quebec and the result was really astounding. The alliance have discovered that the use of longer combination vehicles such as turnpike doubles and single can actually reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve highway safety.
Aside from that turnpike doubles could also reduce the number of trucks on the road by six to ten percent basing on the study. For several months, New Brunswick has been involved in a pilot project that utilizes the combination of vehicles consisting of a tractor and two, 16-metre trailers. Sunbury Transport has been operating the trucks between Dieppe and Saint John. The vehicles are operating under a special permit.
The executive director of the Atlantic Provinces Trucking Association, Peter Nelson said that the industry is working toward the reduction of harmful emissions and improving safety. He also added that the reduced emissions resulting from longer trucks, combined with new eco-friendly engines, better quality truck part components that are now being used together with ultra-low-sulphur diesel fuel.
The alliance’s study further shows that approximately 900 million kilometers of truck travel would be saved annually by promoting the use of turnpike doubles, similarly 260 million liters of fuel will also be saved and 730 kilotons of greenhouse gases will be avoided.
